Endodontic treatment is the technical term for a ‘root canal’. A root canal is needed when the dental pulp, or soft tissue, inside the root of your tooth is diseased, infected, or decayed. When this happens, it causes a lot of pain and inflammation, and if left untreated, the tooth will continue to deteriorate and possibly fall out.

During the root canal procedure, the decayed dental pulp is removed and the inside of the tooth canal is cleaned, filled, and resealed. Oftentimes, a crown is installed or another tooth restoring procedure is performed to further stabilize or improve the appearance of the tooth.

If you have been suffering from tooth pain or inflammation, difficulty chewing, or prolonged sensitivity to hot or cold, you may be in need of a root canal. Contact us today to schedule your initial consultation. There’s no better time to improve your smile and your life!
