Gretchen |
Gretchen has been working in the dental field for over 25 years. In high school she was a dental assistant which inspired her to get her degree in dental hygiene from Westbrook College in Portland. After graduating she attended a year-long dental hygiene residency at the University of Pennsylvania which focused on complex dental treatment and advanced dental hygiene procedures. Since then she has worked in general practice and specialty offices and now focuses on the administrative aspect of dentistry. Her broad range of dental experience makes her the perfect person to help patients with any and all of their questions about dentistry today. “The best part of what we do here everyday is to improve peoples lives. Helping people to look great and feel great is an amazing thing!” |
Sharon |
Born and raised in Iowa, Sharon has lived all over the United States. She loved working with children and originally began her career in dentistry as an orthodontic assistant while in Colorado. She continued to work in that field as she moved to Tennessee, Alaska, New Jersey, Texas and California before finally settling in Maine in 2003. Since then she has worked as Dr. Bufo’s chair-side assistant and also coordinates the office laboratory and office supplies and equipment. After over 20 years of experience in dentistry, Sharon quickly found that Dr. Bufo is not your ordinary dentist. The new advancements in dental techniques and materials made her think that the only thing that hasn’t changed is dental floss! She says, “I am so happy to witness and be a part of the miraculous changes made in peoples’ lives through esthetic dentistry.” |

Serena |
The newest member of our team, Serena recently graduated from the University of New England. Since graduation she has already continued her education by taking courses at the Las Vegas Institute for Advanced Dental Studies in Nevada and at the annual meeting of the International Association of Comprehensive Esthetics in Montreal, Canada. She also obtained her certification to provide local anesthesia and continues to work on her bachelor’s degree in Health and Science at UNE. A native of Maine, Serena is “delighted to be a part of a team that places such high value on patient care, using the latest technology and continuing education.” |
